Building a pathway to a resilient and adaptive business performance
As part of the evolving stakeholder expectation to deliver a strategy that supports a resilient and adaptive business performance, European Residential REIT recognizes that environmental, social and governance (“ESG”) disclosure is associated with more efficient use of resources, stronger labor development and better innovation management.
In close partnership with European Residential Management, our exclusive asset and property management team, European Residential REIT is in the early stages of developing an ESG strategy, leveraging CAPREIT’s existing ESG platform. Our team believes that understanding roles, responsibilities and embedding accountability across our business functions are the foundational building blocks to deliver an effective and integrated ESG strategy.
Starting in 2021, we will begin to formulate our multi-year ESG strategy in close collaboration with European Residential Management and its parent CAPREIT, Canada’s largest and best-in-class residential landlord. Our ESG strategy is supported by both the executive management team and the Board of Trustees.
